Your Stay

At Denali Earth, we live by the seasons and the land. As winter transforms into summer we harvest fiddlehead ferns, and other plants and berries for extra fresh food. Migrating birds visit the lake during seasonal changes. Sometimes there are hundreds of birds on the lake at the same time, of all different species! Moose and bear tend to emerge especially in the spring, as does our garden as we gain almost an hour a week of sunlight!
During break-up, planes are not yet able to land on the lake. Once the lake is thawed, small float planes are the best access to Denali Earth in the summer. In summer, there is no trail from the highway. This trail is only passable in the wintertime once the lakes freeze up.
Denali Earth draws a very unique group of visitors who love and care for our home. It is a "backcountry" tradition that visitors spend some time cleaning the cabins they stayed in and outside grounds for the next incoming guests. We continually spend time and money on the upkeep of Denali Earth. Please leave the cabins the same as or better than before so we can continue to keep Denali Earth a sancuary for all animals and people for centuries to come.
